Doc’s of Denver Is Your #1 Choice for
Hardwood Screen & Recoat Services in Denver, CO & Beyond
If your hardwood floors look dull, worn, or lack the shine they once had, a screen and recoat may be the perfect solution. At Doc’s of Denver Cleaning & Restoration, our hardwood screen and recoat method refreshes your existing finish without the cost, disruption, or dust associated with a full sanding.
A screening is a restorative process that lightly abrades the top layers of polyurethane on your floor. Once the finish is properly prepped, the entire surface is deep cleaned and two substantial layers of fresh finish are applied. The result is a rejuvenated floor with restored luster, protection, and durability — all at a significantly lower price point than traditional sanding and refinishing.
For more than 50 years, Denver homeowners have trusted Doc’s of Denver to protect and enhance their hardwood flooring with professional, long-lasting results.

Are your carpet cleaning products safe for pets and kids?
Yes. We use cleaning solutions and methods that are safe for families, kids, and pets while still delivering a deep and effective clean.
How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
Most homes benefit from carpet cleaning every 6 to 12 months, depending on foot traffic, pets, and lifestyle habits. Many major carpet manufacturers require cleaning every 18 months simply to stay within their provided warranty.
How long will it take for my carpets to dry?
We take every measure to minimize dry times, however, this can vary due to a number of factors including: type of carpet, condition of carpet, airflow to the specific area, additional air flow components, proper HVAC settings, and atmospheric conditions. Ideally, the goal is 6-8 hours but we always suggest allowing 24 hours for the process to complete.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes, we guarantee that you will receive and exceptional experience when hiring Doc’s of Denver and will always stand behind our work. If there are ever any questions or concerns after the project is complete, we encourage immediate communication so that we can return and rectify the situation.
Are you insured and certified?
Absolutely. Doc’s of Denver is fully insured for residential and commercial work, and we abide by all major industry governance and standards to ensure our customers receive the best of the best.
What cleaning method do you use?
Different fabrics and compositions may require modified processes but, we primarily use HWE (hot water extraction), also known as steam cleaning, which is the industry’s preferred method for deep, effective, long-lasting carpet cleaning.
For other surfaces, we use dedicated processes, including:
- Tile & Grout: high heat + controlled pressure + vacuum extraction
- Upholstery: low heat+neutral cleaning products+rinse and extraction
- Hardwood: chemical and mechanical agitation + gentle rinse + optional conditioning
- Area Rugs: (in home) light neutral treatment+gentle extraction+post neutralizing treatment
- Area Rugs (in warehouse) varies greatly depending on material, composition and specific rug needs, however, after a very thorough pre-inspection, rugs generally receive a dry dusting and vacuuming+submersion, scrubbing, rinsing+additional treatments while spun in centrifuge+post cleaning inspection/treatments+hung to speed dry
- Dryer vents: unique system designed to thoroughly agitate, dislodge and vacuum foreign matter from the dryer vent line
- Air Ducts: entire HVAC system is put under negative pressure (heavy vacuum) for the entirety of the project. Each line is then individually approached with compressed air and agitation to rid the line of foreign
matter and contaminants. Main trunk lines are then cleaned out. Blower may be cleaned and system fogged with a sanitizer at customer’s request.
How much does your carpet cleaning cost?
Our minimum service charge is $160. For exact pricing based on your home’s needs, simply call or text us, or submit a request on our website for a fast and free quote.
Are your technicians trustworthy?
At Doc’s, we take this dynamic very seriously. While many companies have relatively low standards for training and employment qualification, we operate quite differently. Although most of our technicians have been with us for years, any new hire undergoes a lengthy background and reference check, is trained and tested on all aspects of daily job requirements, including driving safety and customer service.
What payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards
When is payment due?
Payment is due immediately following the completion of the job. We do not “invoice” or have “Net 30 terms” unless client specifically requests and terms are agreed upon.
Do I need to be on site during the job?
No, you are welcome to come and go as you please. We just ask that the customer provides lock up instructions and is available to remit payment when job is complete
I am new to all of this and have additional questions. What should I do?
PLEASE reach out: by phone, email, or text. We have been doing this a long time and are happy to help put each customer at ease as they consider service
